What is a good average commission for an entry-level outside sales person?

I am going to an interview. My first sales position and I want to make sure I know what i am talking about when it comes to pay/ commission questions. It is an outsidesales position in the supply/distribution industry. 10 points to best answer!!!
Do you have any experience? If you do then great, you can negotiate for your salary and commission i.e if there is no cap or set figures for starting salaries. Use every opportunity to negotiate.
