Retail sales pay structure-What is the average commission?

I’m trying to learn more about how retail sales pay-for some there is a base salary and then there is a commission structure…is it like 1% ?
Some jobs don’t have a base salary and just a commission pay-what is the typical percent for this?
Specifically, if you would know, about how much commission would it be on mattress sales?
